My teaching philosophy
Dedicated to empower through learning
I believe that every student, undergraduate, graduate or in executive education, has the ability to succeed if we empower them with the right tools and opportunities to develop skills. I see students as individuals who have emotional, intellectual and psychological needs and my role as a professor is to provide learning opportunities which help students acquire knowledge putting that knowledge into practice while connecting with others in ways that foster creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. I believe that no student is the same, but at the same time all of them share the need to belong to a larger group in which ideas can be shared in a safe environment, feedback is considered a gift, and high and reachable expectations are set. I believe in the power of resilience and my role is to design learning environments that promote growth mindsets where resilience is fostered and developed, so that this same skill can be transferred to other areas of my students’ lives.
